Under the amended\ndefinition, all Branches and Offices constitute one establishment;\u003C\u002Fp>\n\n\u003Cp>NAME OF PARTIES\u003C\u002Fp>\n\n\u003Cp>1- Habib Bank Limited having its principal office at Habib Bank Plaza, 1.1.\nChundrigar Road, Karachi.\u003C\u002Fp>\n\n\u003Cp>\u003C\u002Fp>\n\n\u003Cp>2- Habib Bank Workers Front of Pakistan, a Trade Union of workmen employed\nin Habib Bank Limited.\u003C\u002Fp>\n\n\u003Cp>\u003C\u002Fp>\n\n\u003Cp>SHORT RECITAL OF THE CASE.\u003C\u002Fp>\n\n\u003Cp>WHEREAS a memorandum of settlement was signed between the parties on 29th\nApril 2007, which settlement endured till 31st December 2008.\u003C\u002Fp>\n\n\u003Cp>AND WHEREAS the terms and conditions of employment were discussed in detail\namongst the parties and settlement has now been reached on all the demands \u002F\nclaims whether raised through Charter of Demands or otherwise raised up till\nsigning of this settlement.\u003C\u002Fp>\n\n\u003Cp>AND WHEREAS this agreement with effect from 01- 01 – 2009, has modified\nand varied various decisions of Wage Commission for the employees and shall be\napplicable notwithstanding anything in consistent with any of the decisions of\nthe Wage Commission. In fact this settlement \u002F agreement replaces various\ndecisions of the Wage Commission and settlement dated 29.04.2007. which shall\nbe no longer binding on the employer as well as on the Workmen on signing of\nthis settlement.\u003C\u002Fp>\n\n\u003Cp>THIS SETTLEMENT, therefore, witnessed as under:-\u003C\u002Fp>\n\n\u003Ch2>1- INCREASE IN BASIC PAY\u003C\u002Fh2>\n\n\u003Cdiv class=\"cbaClause highlight\" id=\"clause-STRUCINCR_trigger\">\u003Cp>It has been decided to allow increase in basic pay as under:-\u003C\u002Fp>\n\n\u003Cp>\u003C\u002Fp>\n\n\u003Cp>i) @ 13% of Basic Pay as on 31. 12.2008 to each eligible Clerical Staff\nw.e.f. 01.01.2009.\u003C\u002Fp>\n\n\u003Cp>\u003C\u002Fp>\n\n\u003Cp>ii) @ 13% of Basic Pay as on 31.12.2009 to each eligible Clerical Staff\nw.e.f. 01.01.2010\u003C\u002Fp>\n\n\u003Cp>\u003C\u002Fp>\n\n\u003Cp>All related allowances, which are indexed on the Basic Pay will also be\nincreased accordingly from the date of increase in Basic Pay allowed.\u003C\u002Fp>\u003C\u002Fdiv>\n\n\u003Ch2>2- APPRAISAL INCREASE\u003C\u002Fh2>\n\n\u003Cp>It has been decided that the Appraisal Increase for the years 2009 &amp;\n2010 will be allowed on the Basic Pay as on 31.12.2008 and 31.12.2009\nrespectively as under:-\u003C\u002Fp>\n\n\u003Cp>a) Excellent ( “ A” ) -- 3%\u003C\u002Fp>\n\n\u003Cp>b) Very Good ( “B” ) -- 2%\u003C\u002Fp>\n\n\u003Cp>c) Good ( “ C” ) -- 1%\u003C\u002Fp>\n\n\u003Cp>d) Unsatisfactory (“ D” ) -- Nil\u003C\u002Fp>\n\n\u003Cp>A Separate circular along with statement showing increase in Basic Pay of\nindividual Clerical Staff will be issued accordingly.\u003C\u002Fp>\n\n\u003Ch2>3- SPECIAL ALLOWANCE\u003C\u002Fh2>\n\n\u003Cp>\u003C\u002Fp>\n\n\u003Cdiv class=\"cbaClause highlight focus\" id=\"clause-ONCERISE_trigger\">\u003Cp>An amount equivalent to 7% of Basic Pay as on 31 – 12 – 2008 will be\nallowed to all Clerical Staff for 02 years effective from 01. 01. 2009. This allowance will continue to\nbe paid to the Clerical Staff posted in the Branches situated at Hill Stations\nat the height of 5500 feet and above.\u003C\u002Fp>\n\n\u003Cp>\u003C\u002Fp>\n\n\u003Ch2>9- RISK ALLOWANCE FOR KEY HOLDER CASHIER\u003C\u002Fh2>\n\n\u003Cp>\u003C\u002Fp>\n\n\u003Cp>The present rate of Risk Allowance for Key Holder Cashier will be increased\nfrom Rs. 500\u002F- per month to Rs. 600\u002F- per month with effect from 01-01-2009.\u003C\u002Fp>\n\n\u003Cp>\u003C\u002Fp>\n\n\u003Ch2>10- MATERNITY CHARGES\u003C\u002Fh2>\n\n\u003Cp>\u003C\u002Fp>\n\n\u003Cdiv class=\"cbaClause highlight\" id=\"clause-healthcareaccess\">\u003Cp>Maternity Charges will be revised with effect from 01-01-2006 as under:-\u003C\u002Fp>\n\n\u003Cp>\u003C\u002Fp>\n\n\u003Ctable border=\"1\" style=\"width: 100%\">\n  \u003Ccaption>\u003C\u002Fcaption>\n  \u003Ccolgroup>\u003Ccol>\n  \u003Ccol>\n  \u003Ccol>\n  \u003C\u002Fcolgroup>\u003Ctbody>\n    \u003Ctr>\n      \u003Ctd>\u003C\u002Ftd>\n      \u003Ctd>Existing\u003C\u002Ftd>\n      \u003Ctd>Revised\u003C\u002Ftd>\n    \u003C\u002Ftr>\n    \u003Ctr>\n      \u003Ctd>Delivery At Home \u003C\u002Ftd>\n      \u003Ctd>Rs. 6.500\u002F- per child.\u003C\u002Ftd>\n      \u003Ctd>Rs. 8,500\u002F- per child.\u003C\u002Ftd>\n    \u003C\u002Ftr>\n    \u003Ctr>\n      \u003Ctd>Delivery At Hospital\u003C\u002Ftd>\n      \u003Ctd>Rs. 10,000\u002F- per child. \u003C\u002Ftd>\n      \u003Ctd>Rs. 12.000\u002F- per child.\u003C\u002Ftd>\n    \u003C\u002Ftr>\n  \u003C\u002Ftbody>\n\u003C\u002Ftable>\n\n\u003Cp>\u003C\u002Fp>\n\n\u003Cp>No receipt will be required for delivery at home. The payment in this\nrespect is to be allowed on the basis of Birth Certificate This facility will\ncontinue to be admissible upto three (3) children during service.\u003C\u002Fp>\u003C\u002Fdiv>\n\n\u003Cp>\u003C\u002Fp>\n\n\u003Ch2>11- FUNERAL EXPENSES\u003C\u002Fh2>\n\n\u003Cdiv class=\"cbaClause highlight\" id=\"clause-funeralpay\">\u003Ctable border=\"1\" style=\"width: 100%\">\n  \u003Ccaption>\u003C\u002Fcaption>\n  \u003Ccolgroup>\u003Ccol>\n  \u003Ccol>\n  \u003Ccol>\n  \u003C\u002Fcolgroup>\u003Ctbody>\n    \u003Ctr>\n      \u003Ctd>\u003C\u002Ftd>\n      \u003Ctd>Existing\u003C\u002Ftd>\n      \u003Ctd>Revised\u003C\u002Ftd>\n    \u003C\u002Ftr>\n    \u003Ctr>\n      \u003Ctd>On Passing Graduation\u003C\u002Ftd>\n      \u003Ctd>Rs.25,000\u002F-\u003C\u002Ftd>\n      \u003Ctd>Rs. 30,000\u002F-\u003C\u002Ftd>\n    \u003C\u002Ftr>\n    \u003Ctr>\n      \u003Ctd>On Passing Post Graduation\u003C\u002Ftd>\n      \u003Ctd>Rs. 35,000\u002F-\u003C\u002Ftd>\n      \u003Ctd>Rs. 50,000\u002F-\u003C\u002Ftd>\n    \u003C\u002Ftr>\n    \u003Ctr>\n      \u003Ctd>On Passing PHD\u003C\u002Ftd>\n      \u003Ctd>Nil\u003C\u002Ftd>\n      \u003Ctd>Rs. 100,000\u002F-\u003C\u002Ftd>\n    \u003C\u002Ftr>\n  \u003C\u002Ftbody>\n\u003C\u002Ftable>\n\n\u003Cp>The present limit of funeral expenses will be enhanced from Rs. 15,000\u002F- to\nRs. 20,000\u002F- w.e.f. 01.01.2009.\u003C\u002Fp>\u003C\u002Fdiv>\n\n\u003Cp>\u003C\u002Fp>\n\n\u003Ch2>12- TRAVELING ALLOWANCE\u003C\u002Fh2>\n\n\u003Ch2>\u003C\u002Fh2>\n\n\u003Cp>The present rate of Daily Allowance will be increased from Rs. 400\u002F- to Rs.\n500\u002F- for Clerical Staff w.e.f. 01.01.2009.\u003C\u002Fp>\n\n\u003Cp>\u003C\u002Fp>\n\n\u003Ch2>13- REWARD FOR HIFZ-E-QURAN\u003C\u002Fh2>\n\n\u003Cp>\u003C\u002Fp>\n\n\u003Cp>The amount of existing reward for Hifz-e-Quran has been enhanced from Rs.\n40.000\u002F- to Rs. 50.000\u002F- with effect from 01.01.2009. permissible to the sons\n\u002F&amp; daughters of employees on acquiring the Sanad of Hifz-e-Quran from\nrecognized Institutions.\u003C\u002Fp>\n\n\u003Cp>\u003C\u002Fp>\n\n\u003Ch2>14- INCENTIVES FOR PASSING EDUCATIONAL EXAMINATIONS\u003C\u002Fh2>\n\n\u003Ch2>\u003C\u002Fh2>\n\n\u003Cdiv class=\"cbaClause highlight\" id=\"clause-trainingprogrammes\">\u003Cdiv class=\"cbaClause highlight\" id=\"clause-trainingfund\">\u003Cp>The existing cash awards have been enhanced w.e.f. 01.01.2009, as under:-\u003C\u002Fp>\n\n\u003Cp>\u003C\u002Fp>\n\n\u003Cp>The cash awards on passing Professional Examinations will remain\nunchanged.\u003C\u002Fp>\u003C\u002Fdiv>\u003C\u002Fdiv>\n\n\u003Cp>\u003C\u002Fp>\n\n\u003Ch2>15- GROUP INSURANCE\u003C\u002Fh2>\n\n\u003Cp>\u003C\u002Fp>\n\n\u003Cdiv class=\"cbaClause highlight\" id=\"clause-healthinsurance\">\u003Cp>The existing limit of Group Insurance (Life) has been enhanced from Rs\n500,000\u002F- to Rs. 750,000\u002F- to Rs. 250,000\u002F- with effect from 01.04.2009.\u003C\u002Fp>\n\n\u003Cp>\u003C\u002Fp>\n\n\u003Cp>Further, in case of accidental death the additional existing limit has been\nenhanced from Rs. 50,000\u002F- to Rs. 250,000\u002F- with effect from 01.04.2009.\u003C\u002Fp>\u003C\u002Fdiv>\n\n\u003Cp>\u003C\u002Fp>\n\n\u003Ch2>16- BENEVOLENT FUND GRANT\u003C\u002Fh2>\n\n\u003Cp>\u003C\u002Fp>\n\n\u003Cdiv class=\"cbaClause highlight\" id=\"clause-pensionfund\">\u003Cp>The Benevolent Fund Grant has been enhanced from Rs. 2000\u002F- to Rs. 2500\u002F-\nper month for those Clerical Staff retiring on or after 01.01.2009.\u003C\u002Fp>\n\n\u003Cp>\u003C\u002Fp>\n\n\u003Cp>Further, the monthly contribution for Clerical Staff has been enhanced from\nRs. 100\u002F- to Rs. 160\u002F- per month effective from 01.01.2009. Bank will make\nmatching contribution as per policy.\u003C\u002Fp>\u003C\u002Fdiv>\n\n\u003Cp>\u003C\u002Fp>\n\n\u003Ch2>17- RETIREMENT BENEFITS\u003C\u002Fh2>\n\n\u003Cp>\u003C\u002Fp>\n\n\u003Cp>Own &amp; Bank’s Contribution towards Provident Fund under Old Retirement\nBenefits has been enhanced from 5% to 12% of the basic pay with effect from\n01.01.2009.\u003C\u002Fp>\n\n\u003Cp>\u003C\u002Fp>\n\n\u003Cp>The other terms &amp; Conditions of retirement benefits will remain\nunchanged.\u003C\u002Fp>\n\n\u003Cp>\u003C\u002Fp>\n\n\u003Ch2>18- HOUSE FINANCE\u003C\u002Fh2>\n\n\u003Cp>\u003C\u002Fp>\n\n\u003Cp>The House Finance for Clerical Staff has been enhanced from Rs. 470,000\u002F- to\nRs. 650,000\u002F- with 0% mark-up with effect from 01.01.2009.\u003C\u002Fp>\n\n\u003Cp>Enhancement of Rs. 50,000\u002F- will be sanctioned to the Clerical Staff subject\nto the completion of required formalities.\u003C\u002Fp>\n\n\u003Cp>\u003C\u002Fp>\n\n\u003Cp>The sanctioning authority while approving the enhancement will ensure that\nthe value of the property against which enhancement is being granted is\ndefinitely more than the total House building Finance.
