Minimum Wage Increases in El Salvador - January 1, 2015The government in El Salvador has announced an increase of 4% in the legal minimum wage in the productive sectors. The new rates will come in effect from January 1, 2015. The new wages will be as follows: the commercial and services sector workers will be paid $242.40; in industry the minimum payment each month will be $237; wages in the maquila, textiles and clothing sector will be $202.80; and for agricultural workers it is $113.70.
