  1. Public administration, defence and security - a seven per cent rise for the lowest levels (including, for example, primary school teachers, nurses, and policemen, and soldiers), and four per cent for the higher levels.
  2. The Mozambican government approved the new statutory minimum wages, with increases ranging between three per cent and over 20 per cent, as proposed by the Consultative Labour Commission (CCT), the tripartite negotiating forum between the government, the trade unions, and the employers' associations.
  3. As per Article 85 of the Labour Law, the normal hours of work are 8 hours a day and 48 hours a week.
