United Kingdom - Strikes of offshore workers suspended after wage offer - February 28, 2026
Offshore maintenance workers employed by Bilfinger UK suspended planned strike action after the company presented an improved pension proposal during negotiations with the Unite union. More than 400 workers on offshore installations had scheduled a 48-hour strike for 19–20 February as part of a dispute over pension contributions and retirement benefits. Following the threat of industrial action, the company returned to the bargaining table and proposed increased employer contributions to the pension scheme.
