United Kingdom - Inflation beating pay rise at food company - May 31, 2026

Unite, the union, has secured an inflation beating 3.9% pay rise for Nestle workers. The union represents over 1,200 members at Nestle, the world’s largest food and drink company, including at its sites in Buxton, Carlisle, Halifax, Tutbury and York. Following pay talks, the workers voted to accept the offer, which is 0.3% above the rate of inflation. Unite said that the agreement was achieved because Nestle workers are in a strong union and benefit from collective bargaining. The one year pay agreement will be backdated to April 2026.
