United Kingdom - Aerospace workers begin indefinite strike over pay - September 30, 2026
Around 200 Unite members at aerospace firm SPS Technologies Ltd in Leicester began continuous, open-ended strike action on 4 September in a dispute over pay. The workers rejected a two-year offer of 4% this year and 4% next year. They say it does not make up for years of low pay offers, and note that the offer is lower than what other workers at parent company PCC in the East Midlands have received. It is the third year in a row that the workforce has had to ballot for industrial action to secure a better pay offer.
