Turkey - 34% pay increase for telecom staff - May 31, 2026

Türkiye Haber-İş union and telecom company Türk Telekom signed the 16th enterprise collective agreement after negotiations that had started on 5 February. The agreement runs from 1 March 2026 to 29 February 2028 and covers wage increases and improvements in social benefits. Employees will receive an average wage increase of 24% for the first six months from 1 March, followed by an additional 8% from 1 September 2026. The cumulative increase in 2026, excluding inflation, will reach 33.92%. Meal allowances, clothing allowances, marriage and birth benefits, smart-card payments and holiday payments were also increased.
