LO union confederation and its affiliated unions are mobilising around the demand for a reduction of the standard working week. LO has formally requested negotiations with employers’ organisation to introduce a general reduction in working time across the labour market. The proposal aims to apply to all workers, rather than being negotiated sector by sector, reflecting the view that working time should be addressed at national level.
