Sweden - Union presents new salary strategy - May 31, 2026
Everyone should know what is required to get a raise. This is one of the guiding principles in Fastighets union new salary strategy "Own your salary", which at the centre of the union's congress in Malmö in May. The salary strategy "Own your salary" is about negotiating with employers a more transparent salary system with clear rules for pay increases. Negotiated salary criteria also make things easier for the employer, Fastighets emphasizes. Owning your salary also means that you negotiate other important things, such as more vacation, shorter working hours or training. The Fastighets union board has also developed an agreement strategy. It includes several proposals for how the union should develop collective agreements in the long term.
