Sweden - Union confederation terminates pension agreement - June 30, 2026

LO union confederation is terminating agreements on insurance, restructuring and collective pension with Confederation of Swedish Enterprise. The agreements will now expire on 1 December 2026. LO is doing this because it wants to improve the terms of the agreements. LO has now terminated those agreements, after having demanded improvements to the terms of the agreements for a long time, without being able to reach an agreement. The demands that the unions are making for improvements include that the age limits in the agreements should be adjusted to a longer working life and that there should be better compensation and terms in serveral insurances.
