UGT and CCOO unions say the energy company is refusing to protect workers' purchasing power despite posting record profits. It is the second general strike at Iberdrola in just over a year. Since 2021, the unions say, Iberdrola staff have lost 19% of their purchasing power as wages rose only 2.8% against far higher inflation.
