Slovenia - Police union urges members to claim pay-difference payments - August 31, 2026

The Police Union of Slovenia (PSS) called on its members, specifically candidates from the 6th and 7th generations of the police academy, to file individual requests for payment of salary differences they say are owed under existing pay-grading rules. The move forms part of the union’s broader campaign around unresolved collective bargaining issues tied to its ongoing strike, which began in March 2026 over career-system reform, work-performance regulation, leave policy and compensation.
