Slovakia - Unions criticize platform work law - September 30, 2026
The National Council adopted a law on work performed through digital labour platforms, covering couriers, drivers and others managed by apps. The law regulates algorithmic management. Self-employed platform workers also gain the right to form and join trade unions. KOZ SR union criticizes the fact that the law does not clearly guarantee them a right to bargain collectively. It also notes that employee status can only be secured through court action.
