Romania - Municipal offices stage warning strike - February 28, 2026

Mayors' offices in 1,300 communes have announced a warning strike to protest the upcoming administrative reform, cuts in spending on the apparatus and fiscal innovations of the Government. The strike took place on 10 February before the congress of local government representatives, where the Prime Minister was scheduled to speak, and lasted two hours. The strike was organized by the National Union of SCOR.
