Romania - Agreement at oil company - February 28, 2026
Employees of oil refinery company Petrom succeeded in concluding a new collective agreement for the period 2026-2027. The negotiations took place in a very complicated economic environment, which particularly affects the oil industry. The main elements agreed by the Petrom Union for 2026 are the following: increase in the value of meal tickets from RON 35 (€ 6.87) per day to RON 40 (€ 7.85) per day. A single payment of RON 3,500 (€ 687) gross to be paid together with the salary for February 2026. Starting 1 March 2027, an increase in the basic salary by 4%, but not less than RON 350 gross (€ 69).
