Portugal - Temporary immigration workers demand equal rights - March 31, 2026

Cultural mediators from the Agency for Integration, Migration and Asylum (AIMA) will hold a strike on 20 March to demand their incorporation into the institution's staff, which they accuse of using temporary workers as permanent employees. The leader of the National Federation of Unions of Workers in Public and Social Functions (FNSTPS), explained that there are "200 cultural mediators who perform permanent functions, but are not treated as such."
