Poland - Steelworkers demonstrate - March 31, 2026

Employees of the Łabędy Steelworks and trade union representatives are repeatedly pointing out the risk that without urgent investment decisions, the plant's future is in serious doubt. During the demonstration held on 20 March 2026, in front of the Łabędy Steelworks in Gliwice, one message was clearly conveyed – the time for declarations is ending, and the time for waiting for concrete actions begins. Trade unionists emphasize that Huta Łabędy has real potential to become a key link in the supply chain for the defense sector and modern industry. However, without owner support and effective state oversight, this opportunity could be irrevocably lost.
