Poland - Pay increase for firefighters - April 30, 2026

Firefighters have received a pay increase following the entry into force in March 2026 of an amended remuneration regulation for the State Fire Service, agreed between trade unions, including KSP NSZZ and the Main Headquarters of the State Fire Service. The agreement provides for a two-part wage increase, combining a rise in base salary rates linked to an updated reference amount with higher rank-based allowances. Both elements were to be implemented in 2026, with only a technical amendment needed for the allowance adjustment.
