Norway - Offshore maintenance workers on strike - June 30, 2026

The Union of Energy Workers (SAFE) has announced a strike by offshore maintenance workers after failing to reach a collective agreement with the employer organisation Offshore Norge. SAFE said 154 oil service workers went on strike on 15 June, with another 224 joining the next day. The union and Offshore Norge were unable to reach an agreement regarding the maintenance and servicing of oil wells, which SAFE said had been falling behind other sectors in both wages and working conditions.
