Netherlands - Strike at sanitary ware producer ends with agreement - February 28, 2026
A strike at sanitary ware manufacturer Villeroy & Boch ended on 19 February after the CNV and FNV trade unions presented the employer's improved final offer to their members, who could then vote on it immediately. A majority approved the offer. In the revised final offer, the employer is making a small step with the salary. Instead of offering a (total) 4% pay increase over 14 months, Villeroy & Boch is now offering a 12-month increase. Management also promises to seriously explore the possibilities of an early retirement scheme together with the unions.
