Netherlands - Over 5% wage increase in interior construction and furniture industry - August 31, 2026

After a series of tough negotiations between trade unions and employers in the interior construction and furniture industry, an agreement has been reached. Employees will receive an increase of over 5.1% over 19 months, and agreements have also been made for young people. A 2% wage increase will be effective as of 1 July 2026. As of 1 January 2027, an additional € 109.40 gross per month based on full-time employment. Under this agreement, the scheme for employees aged 58 and over is retained, enabling older employees to reach retirement in good health, as well as senior days. The collective agreement covers over 18,000 employees.
