Malta - New agreement for aircraft maintenance workers - September 30, 2026

The Maritime and Aviation Section of the General Workers' Union (GWU) has signed a new collective agreement for employees of the aircraft maintenance company Lufthansa Technik Malta, covering 2026 to 2029. According to the union, the agreement brings higher wages, better career progression, shorter working hours, more flexibility and improved allowances. The GWU acknowledged the cooperation of Lufthansa Technik Malta throughout the negotiation process and appreciated the company’s willingness to engage in constructive discussions with the Union to reach an agreement that further improves employees’ working conditions.
