Lithuania - Pay transparency rules partly enter into force - June 30, 2026
According to trade union confederation Solidarumas part of the EU Pay Transparency Directive had entered into force from 7 June. The new guarantees include a ban on asking job applicants about previous pay, an obligation to inform candidates before interview about relevant collective-agreement provisions for the post, and a rule that an employee’s pay is not confidential when the employee seeks to exercise the right to fair pay. Further reporting obligations will follow from 2027 and 2028.
