Liechtenstein - Union calls for social-plan obligation - May 31, 2026
LANV union reported on its May Day event, under the title “Mass dismissals – who is responsible?”. The debate focused on gaps in the rules on collective redundancies. LANV criticises the absence of a clear deadline for informing employee representatives and argued that workers are sometimes confronted with decisions only when dismissals are effectively final. The union also called for a statutory obligation to draw up a social plan in mass-dismissal cases. The issue was linked to employment protection, workplace representation and social partnership.
