Liechtenstein - Petition for equal pay - February 28, 2026
To coincide with Equal Pay Day, the LANV union handed the petition “Equal pay between the sexes” to the chair of Parliament. Women earn an average of 14.1% less than men. Specifically, this means that while men will have already reached their annual income by 31 December 2025, women will have to continue working until 20 February 2026 to earn the same wage. Around one-third of the pay gap cannot be objectively justified and is solely attributable to gender, and is therefore discriminatory. The undersigned and the other petitioners request that the State Parliament considers this petition and forward it to the Government so that it can initiate the implementation of the demands.
