Italy - Central Government agreement signed - August 31, 2026

Unions FP-CGIL, CISL-FP and UIL FP signed the definitive 2025–2027 collective agreement for central Government workers on 6 August. The agreement covers around 200,000 workers in ministries, tax agencies and national public bodies and entered into force on 7 August. It provides an average gross increase of € 162 a month over 13 monthly payments from January 2027. Increases range from € 126.60 for operational staff to € 221 for highly qualified professionals. The agreement strengthens workplace-level bargaining funds and union information and consultation rights.
