Island ferries will be tied up in port all day after the PNO umbrella seamen’s federation called a 24-hour walkout. The federation said it is seeking to strengthen pay negotiating rights and new collective agreements. Transport unions have also called a 24-hour strike that will lead to cancellation of all railway and suburban rail services, as well as Athens’ metro and tram services.
