Germany - Collective agreement with telecom company - May 31, 2026

The ver.di union and Deutsche Telekom reached a collective agreement for approximately 60,000 employees nationwide after the fourth round of negotiations. The agreement includes significant pay increases, extended protection against dismissal, and, for the first time, a member bonus. Effective 1 August 2026, the additional monthly payment for all employees covered by the collective agreement will increase by € 150 from the current € 190 to € 340. A further increase of € 140 to € 480 will follow on 1 July 2027. On 1 June 2028, base salaries will be raised by 2.4%. For those earning a standard salary of approximately € 55,000 annually, this represents an increase of 8.5%. Employees covered by the collective agreement who are ver.di members will receive a one-off membership bonus of € 440 this year. If they are still members at the end of 2028, they will receive a further bonus of € 220.
