Germany - Agreement in wholesale sector - September 30, 2026

The collective bargaining round for the wholesale sector in Berlin and Brandenburg was successfully concluded on 7 September. Earnings will rise by 2.9% starting 1 August 2026, followed by an additional 2.1% increase from 1 May 2027. Furthermore, a collectively agreed minimum wage of at least € 14.90 per hour will apply in 2027. Apprentices will receive an extra € 40 per month starting in 2026, with another additional € 30 in 2027. The agreement has a term of 24 months. Employers had initially sought to delay the first wage increase in Berlin and Brandenburg by two months compared to other federal states, but this attempt was successfully averted.
