Germany - Agreement in brick industry - January 31, 2026

The IG BAU union and the Federal Association of the Brick Industry have reached a collective agreement for employees in the brick industry in the eastern part of the country. Effective 1 January 2026, standard wages will increase retroactively by 2.4%. The standard wage in pay group E6b will increase by € 80, from € 3,339 to € 3,419. In pay group E6, the standard wage will increase by € 84, from € 3,421 to €3,505. Apprenticeship allowances will increase disproportionately. The collective bargaining agreement has a term of 10 months. It is valid from 1 January to 31 October 2026.
