Germany - Agreement at mortar company - May 31, 2026

The collective negotiations for employees of mortar producer Saint-Gobain Weber GmbH have been successfully concluded. Following intensive discussions, the unions IG BAU and IGBCE and the employers reached an agreement in the third round of negotiations that provides security and income increases despite challenging economic conditions. Full-time employees will receive a one-off payment of € 1,000 gross with their July 2026 paychecks. Trainees will receive € 350 gross. Members of IG BCE and IG BAU will receive an additional union bonus. Full-time employees will receive € 200 gross, and trainees € 50 gross in December 2026. Wages will increase by 3% on 1 January 2027. The collective agreement has a term of 22 months and can be terminated for the first time on 31 December 2027.
