France - Victory for hairdressers after 78-day strike - May 31, 2026

78 days of strike during which the hairdressers and barbers of 65 Boulevard de Strasbourg waged an exemplary struggle, supported by the CGT union, ended in a resounding victory. The workers have already begun receiving their first residency permits, which will cover them throughout the investigation of the case, where the charge of human trafficking is expected to be upheld by the judicial authorities. The final chapter of this movement will be played out in court, where the CGT hopes for exemplary sentences against these employers who abused these vulnerable employees.
