France - Railway strike - June 30, 2026
A national SNCF strike was planned for 10 June 2026. For the first time since late 2024, the four main railway unions — the CGT Cheminots, Unsa Ferroviaire, Sud Rail and the CFDT Cheminots — have jointly filed a 24-hour strike notice for a full day of action. Unions are denouncing several issues at once. Unions are also pressing for new salary increases, arguing that the 2026 adjustments fall short of inflation. They also point to a deterioration in working conditions.
