France - Agreement for parliamentary staff - January 31, 2026
Following negotiations initiated by the SNPNC-FO union, a supplementary benefits agreement covering all parliamentary staff of the Chamber of Deputies was signed on 20 January. Further negotiations are underway, notably concerning salaries and the situation of staff in the event of the Chamber's dissolution. All 2,000 parliamentary staff of the National Assembly will now be able to benefit from supplementary benefits, after six months of negotiations. This plan includes a survivor's pension, an education allowance, a critical illness benefit, and disability coverage that allows staff members to receive continued salary payments until retirement after an accident or illness.
