France - Agreement ends strike threat by cabin crew - September 30, 2026
On 1 September, members of the three representative cabin crew unions at easyJet France (SNPNC-FO, UNAC-CFE-CGC and UNPNC-CFDT) approved an agreement negotiated with management. The strike notice, which ran until 2 September, is now definitively lifted. In mid-August, cabin crew had gone on strike over what they called the permanent instability of their rosters, forcing the cancellation of dozens of flights. The agreement gives each crew member five days a month on which their roster cannot be changed, plus compensation for late roster changes. For the unions, the issue was not just financial: they argued that repeated changes were undermining crews' work-life balance and increasing fatigue. Pay was not a major part of the deal, since pay rises had been settled earlier.
