Finland - Helsinki fined for breach of collective agreement - June 30, 2026
The Labour Court has ordered the city of Helsinki to pay compensation fines in a case related to a breach of the collective agreement. The compensation fines amount to € 2,000. The city had paid late revised salaries. The case was brought to court by the trade union JHL. According to the court, the City of Helsinki has not paid the revised salaries in the social, health and rescue sectors within the prescribed schedule. The provisions of the collective agreements and service agreements have been clear and undisputed.
