EU Sources - Unions rally in Brussels against "EU Inc" company law - September 30, 2026

Hundreds of trade union activists gathered outside the EU institutions in Brussels on 24 September to protest against EU Inc, a planned law meant to make it easier and cheaper to set up and run businesses across Europe. The rally was organised jointly by the European Trade Union Confederation (ETUC) and the three Belgian unions ACV-CSC, ABVV-FGTB and Synova. ETUC argues that the proposal threatens workers' rights because companies seeking a lighter corporate regime could use it to circumvent national labour laws and social standards. ETUC warned that the text contains no binding safeguards for collective bargaining, union rights or worker participation.
