EU Sources - Employment and social affairs ministers advance socially just future of work - February 28, 2026
EU Employment and Social Affairs ministers met to advance a socially just future of work agenda. Discussions focused on strengthening employment rights, improving job quality and reinforcing social dialogue among governments, employers and trade unions. Ministers highlighted fair wage development, workplace safety and inclusive labour markets in the context of economic transformation and digitalisation. The meeting reaffirmed the importance of tripartite cooperation in implementing the European Pillar of Social Rights and coordinating labour policies across Member States. Social partners were recognised as key actors in ensuring balanced reforms and stable industrial relations at EU level.
