Denmark - Agreement for municipal staff - February 28, 2026
A new three-year collective agreement has been reached for 500,000 municipal employees, including teachers, pedagogues, and nurses. The agreement features a 9.2% economic framework, providing a general wage increase of nearly 6.3% and real wage growth. Key improvements include a “free-choice account,” adapted to the municipal labour market with a choice between salary, pension and time off, and a package that provides better conditions for families with children.
