Croatia - Public transport strike - September 30, 2026
On 30 September, Zagreb's municipal strike entered its third day. Zagreb County Court refused to temporarily ban the strike, ruling that the employers had not shown concrete damage or a threat to health. Final rulings in the lawsuits brought by Zagreb Holding and ZET against the unions were expected, with the losing side able to appeal to the Supreme Court. The Mayor said the priority was for an arbitration panel to define the essential services to be maintained during the strike, and that he would only sit down with the unions once they started providing those services. ZET drivers' union said it would name its arbitration representative and remained ready to negotiate immediately.
