Croatia - Public transport one step closer to strike - August 31, 2026

Representative unions have suspended collective negotiations at the Zagreb Electric Tram and Zagreb Holding and announced the initiation of a conciliation procedure. In a letter dated 28 August, the unions negotiating a new collective agreement at ZET informed the employer that they were suspending negotiations because it had not adhered to the agreed Protocol on Collective Bargaining, even after repeated warnings. They therefore consider further negotiations untenable and announce conciliation before the competent ministry. An almost identical outcome came the same day from Zagreb Holding, where negotiations with the Management also failed, so the conciliation procedure was initiated there as well.
