Croatia - Public sector unions organise spring protest - March 31, 2026

On 21 March 2026, six public sector unions organised a major protest in Zagreb under the slogan “Trade Union Spring,” citing dissatisfaction with stalled collective bargaining and limited progress in wage negotiations. Union representatives argued that the Government had failed to engage meaningfully in social dialogue, particularly regarding wage adjustments and pension issues. The protest aimed to mobilise workers across sectors and pressure authorities to reopen negotiations on collective agreements.
