Bulgaria - Union warns of strike action - February 28, 2026

The chairwoman of the Union of Administrative Employees of the Podkrepa confederation warned that inflation has eroded recent wage increases, effectively reducing real incomes. The union indicated readiness to consider strike action if further negotiations fail to secure additional pay adjustments. She argued that a previously agreed 5% increase no longer compensates for rising living costs.
