Bulgaria - Postal workers protest for higher wages - March 31, 2026

Employees of Bulgarian Posts in Sofia, Burgas, and Ruse held a protest, organized by the Confederation of Independent Trade Unions in Bulgaria (CITUB). The union is demanding a 5% increase in basic monthly salaries from the state budget in sectors financed through subsidies. According to the union, wages of employees in the sector are close to the level of the minimum wage. The demonstration took place on the day when pensioners are scheduled to receive their pensions.
