Austria - New agreement in glass industry - June 30, 2026

In the third round of negotiations for the approximately 7,500 employees in the glassmaking and glass processing industries, the PRO-GE and GPA unions reached an agreement on 10 June. Minimum wages and apprentice wages will be increased by 2.4% in both collective agreements. Actual wages will rise by 1.75% plus € 22, resulting in wage increases of up to 2.65% in the glassmaking industry and up to 2.7% in the glass processing industry for lower-income earners. The new minimum wage for the glassmaking industry will be € 2,539.78 and for the glass processing industry € 2,138.09. The new collective agreement will come into effect on 1 June 2026 for a duration of 12 months.
