Austria - New agreement for textile industry - March 31, 2026
In the second round of negotiations on 23 March 2026, Pro-Ge union reached a collective agreement for the approximately 7,500 employees in the textile industry. Despite the challenging economic situation, the social partners were able to develop a solution tailored to the sector. The collectively agreed minimum wages will increase by 2.9%. Actual wages will increase by 2.5%. Apprentice wages will also increase by 2.9%. Collectively agreed travel and separation allowances, as well as trade fair fees, will increase by 2.5%. The agreement will be valid from 1 April 2026, for a period of 12 months.
