Austria - Minimum wage rises to € 2,000 in bakeries - August 31, 2026

Union PRO-GE has reached an agreement for workers in the bakery industry. The collectively agreed minimum wage will rise by 2.5% to € 2,000. Apprentices’ incomes will increase by € 40, resulting in an average increase of 4.26%. Board and lodging allowances, hardship allowance, and daily allowance increase by 2.5%. The new collectively agreed minimum wage in pay group 4 (worker after completion of apprenticeship during the period of statutory retention) is € 2,006.26. The agreement will be effective as of 1 October 2026, and has a term of 12 months.
