The focus of the negotiations is on wages, primarily on permanent increases in pay and salaries. This spring's negotiations are proving very difficult. The third round of talks for the approximately 50,000 employees in the chemical industry was broken off after four hours following an offer from the employers in the form of a one-off payment of € 250.
