Austria - Collective agreement for electricity companies - January 31, 2026
The GPA and ProGe unions reached a collective agreement for employees of electricity companies (EVUs) after the third round of negotiations. The negotiations took place against the backdrop of a weakening economy and rising costs for implementing the energy transition. It was important for the unions to nevertheless highlight the positive economic results of the electricity companies and to emphasize that this success was also made possible by the commitment of the employees. Wages and apprenticeship allowances will increase by 2.8%. There will also be a one-off payment of € 400 in July 2026.
