Austria - Agreement for cable car staff - April 30, 2026

Collective bargaining negotiations in the cable car industry have been successfully concluded. Despite challenging economic conditions, the Vida union secured an average wage increase of 3.57% for employees. The new collective agreement is valid from May 1, 2026, to April 30, 2027. The negotiating team also achieved a minimum increase of € 80. This will particularly benefit employees with lower incomes. The starting wage will rise to € 2,218 gross per month – an important step to ensure the industry remains attractive and to secure skilled workers in the future.
